"Pazhassiraja" was the first Malayalam film to be genuinely released on a 1080p High Definition with DTS-HD Master Audio Blu-ray Disc.
The movie was produced at a cost of
27 crore (US$4.91 million) and is considered the costliest film ever made in Malayalam.
